Large Poster Image

Original Photo

Title: Cowboys Essentials 2
Print sizes: 8X10 and 24X36
DTP: 10/20/2011, 7:15 p.m., Bannack Ghost Town Saloon
F-Stop: f/13.0
SS: 15.0 sec
Camera: NIKON D3100
Mode: Manual

When editing this photo I first took it into Adobe Bridge where I edited it in Camera RAW to help give it cooler tones. I thought that it looked a little too orange to the eye to I cooled it down a little with some blue tones. Then I gave it a little more contrast and adjusted the saturation. After that I then opened the image in Adobe Photoshop CS5 and played with my levels until I got them where I wanted them, then played with my sats a little more, and then sharpened the image. After that was done I then reduced the noise in the image and then sized it. I chose this image because I really liked the angle and the lights and darks in the image. I thought that it gave you something interesting to look at while also telling a little bit of a story.

Fine Art

 Title: Oh My Sunset!
DTP: 10/20/2011 – 6:40 PM, Bannack Ghost Town
F-Stop: f/5.6
SS: 1/4000 sec.
Camera: NIKON D3100

I simply adjusted the levels in Photoshop with this image and then boosted up my saturation on it so it was a bit more visually appealing. Then I created the template and added my name and image to it to create some fine art!

 Title: The Yellow and Green

DTP: 10/21/2011 – 11:36 AM, Idaho Falls

F-Stop: f/6.3
SS: 1/80 sec.

I didn't edit this image because I really love the colors in it! I did the same thing as above as far as creating the template and adding my name to the bottom. The only different thing I did with this one was do it horizontally instead of vertically.

I tried to edit this photo to get the light from my cellphone out of it, but for some reason I couldn't get it to go away without messing up the entire photo. I tried using a regular flashlight at first for this shot but it was way too harsh so I ended up using my cellphone to light paint the shoes.

My roommate let me use her cellphone and laptop for this image. I just had the laptops on contrasting colors and zoomed in quickly to get the affect that you see here.

My roommate took her cellphone and drew a Christmas tree in the air while I took this shot. We didn't think it was going to come out but once we took a look at it we both agreed that we liked it.

I took both my roommates cellphone and my cellphone, put mine on a red background and her's on a white background and spelled out LOVE in the air while getting this shot. I went in Photoshop and  simply flipped it so you could read it.

I tried to get an interesting angle for this shot. The only bad thing about this shot was that I had to sit in the cold and wait for someone to drive by!
